Product Overview
Engineered for Strength and Corrosion Resistance
Pultruded FRP (Fiberglass Reinforced Plastic) Grating is a high-performance industrial flooring solution manufactured through the pultrusion process, where continuous fiberglass strands are pulled through a resin bath and then through a heated die to form rigid, high-strength profiles. This manufacturing method produces grating with exceptional unidirectional strength, making it ideal for applications requiring high load-bearing capacity in one direction.
Unlike molded grating, pultruded FRP grating offers higher strength-to-weight ratios, greater span capabilities, and a wider range of depth options. It is naturally resistant to corrosion, chemicals, and moisture, providing a long service life even in the harshest environments. The material is non-conductive, non-magnetic, and fire-retardant, making it a safe choice for electrical, chemical, and marine applications.
Available in various resin systems including polyester, vinyl ester, and phenolic, pultruded FRP grating can be customized to meet specific performance requirements. Standard panel sizes range from 48 x 96 inches to 48 x 144 inches, with depths from 1 inch to 2 inches. The grating surface can be supplied with grit-top for enhanced slip resistance, ensuring worker safety in wet or oily conditions.
Available in multiple bearing bar configurations and resin systems

Features
Features & Benefits
Superior Strength and Durability
Engineered for the most demanding industrial applications
Exceptional Strength-to-Weight Ratio
Pultruded FRP grating delivers up to 5 times the strength-to-weight ratio of steel grating at only one-quarter the weight, reducing structural load requirements and making installation faster and safer.
Superior Corrosion Resistance
The vinyl ester and phenolic resin systems provide exceptional resistance to acids, alkalis, solvents, and saltwater, making pultruded grating ideal for chemical plants, wastewater treatment, and marine environments.
Long Span Capability
With continuous fiberglass reinforcement oriented along the bearing bars, pultruded grating supports longer unsupported spans than molded grating, reducing the need for intermediate support structures.
Non-Conductive & Non-Magnetic
FRP is electrically non-conductive and non-magnetic, making pultruded grating the safest choice for electrical substations, telecommunications facilities, and MRI rooms.
Low Maintenance & Long Service Life
Unlike steel grating, pultruded FRP grating never rusts or corrodes. It requires no painting, coating, or special maintenance, providing 20+ years of reliable service even in harsh environments.
Customizable Resin Systems
Choose from polyester, vinyl ester, or phenolic resin systems to match your specific chemical exposure, temperature range, and fire safety requirements. Phenolic grades offer low smoke and low toxicity for enclosed spaces.
